Sources include California EDD WARN reports (site-level filings of 100+ workers, Jan–Oct 2026), company announcements and SEC filings, major news outlets, and verified monthly roundups from Today's Layoffs. "WARN filed: Yes" means we matched a WARN notice; "Not confirmed" means we haven't verified one, not that none exists. California WARN entries combine same-month notices by the same employer. Industries for some WARN entries are assigned from the employer's name. The full dataset is one file, data/layoffs.json, so new entries can simply be appended.
